Gators Defeat Sooners 24-14
Gators take BCS Crown: On college football's grandest stage Thursday night, Tebow put an exclamation on his original subtle point by outdueling Bradford in the Gators' 24-14 victory, their second national championship of his three-year career. He was named the game's most outstanding player."This is an unbelievable night," Tebow said. (New York Times)

I just don't understand what happen to the sooners football game with the Gators.I have never seen ou play like that.It look to me that Bradford was telling the gators Brown was getting the ball. Also i have never seen Bradford played like he did.We all are sad about this game, but it makes you think about the team now.

as much as it pains my to say, perhaps Texas should have gone to Miami: they seem to finish bowls games, we can't put together 2 good BCS quarters, much less a full 4.

OK help me out here. I'm just the normal opposing team guy checking out the other team's blogs during the week of the game, and I usually never sign up and comment because that is so troll-ish(I'm a gator born and bred, used to go to UF games as a toddler with the other couple hundred people - things change) But...I just have to ask two legitimate curiosity type questions of the Sooner Nation. I'm sitting here watching the replay of the game on FL sunshine network Friday nite.....help me out please.
1) I know what a Sooner is, they were gritty people - but what is with the "Boomer" thing. Is it the baby boomers after the sooners? I guess I could goodle it but I am lazy like that.
2) This is my main question. WHO is the guy they keep showing on the sidelines for OU - D coordinator I think. You HAVE to admit he has a second job as the SHAM-WOW TV ad guy. Seen it? spitting image!!! LOL
I love college football Thanks OU for bringing the tradition and the great fight song to the big game. sorry it didn't work out - but all college football fans have been on both sides of the big game win/loss thing before. good luck next year. although - gators are returning 95%+ of their team, it could be our year again next year. anyway - thanks if anyone can answer my questions.

p.s. gator guy again - last thought. Stoops is a GREAT coach. Lose the Fire Stoops thing. Appreciate that you have a top tier guy (trained by Steve Spurrier). We would bring him back to G-ville in a heartbeat. He can come coach for UF if you really think he sux. Don't let one game distort your entire perspective. Don't dump a GREAT coach to go try and get lucky looking for a great coach for another decade. just sayin.....

I have followed the Sooners through every bowl game from the Orange in 1939 (lost that one too) to BCS 2009. Like my kids, I love them in spite of the disapointments that they bring. But I can not help the feeling that Stoop's teams seem to lack the kind of fire, spirit and determination exhibited by the teams that they meet in post season competition as demonstrated to the nth by Tim Tebow and the Florida team. They came to play a game of body contact, we seemed to be prepared to bake a cake. The same was true of the USC game, which was the most humiliating.

Anonymous dickwad cakebaker obviously (or I mean statedly) "follows" football but has never played a down or a game in her life. It's a one-time crap shoot winner takes all everyone worked their ass off strategic chess and checkers game, dudette. Talent against talent who knows one game at a time. Who the F are you to question anyone's motivation except your ability to type insults. Asswipe.
